Auditions

The goal at PYO is to ensure that each musician is comfortable, happy, and challenged by their experience in our organization. Auditions give conductors the opportunity to see each musician play and assess their level. Depending on the instrument you play and your personal experience, a variety of factors are considered in your audition and placement in the orchestra.

Auditions for the 2024-25 season will be scheduled in August 2024.

Audition Guidelines

 

1. Go to the PYO Application page HERE to complete an application form.

2. When you have completed your registration, you will receive an email with information on scheduling an audition.

3. The audition requirements are as follows:

• One piece of your choice showcasing your highest level of achievement

• One two octave scale of your choice

• Sight Reading will be provided at the audition

 

After auditions you will be contacted with confirmation of your acceptance and information on fee payments.
